Office-supply giant Staples Inc. has extended the lease on its large distribution center in Plainfield, Conn., according to an announcement from Hackman Capital Partners.

Framingham, Mass.-based Staples (Nasdaq: SPLS) has occupied the entire 530,500-square-foot facility since June 2002. The property is part of the $516 million National Industrial Portfolio, a joint venture among entities formed by Hackman Capital, Calare Properties Inc. and KBS Real Estate Investment Trust I.

The portfolio consists of 24 industrial facilities in seven of the country’s largest distribution markets. Hackman Capital said it manages the properties.
