112 Barnum Road project recognized as the Best Industrial/Flex Use Deal of the Year

Calare Properties (Calare), a privately held, Massachusetts-based investment firm with a focus on industrial and flex/office real estate, was awarded the Boston Business Journal’s 2014 “Best in Boston Real Estate Award for the Industrial/Flex Use Deal of the Year.”

Calare worked with Hackman Capital to secure a lease on a new facility for Nypro’s medical products line. One key component of the deal was overcoming the obstacle of finding a location close to Nypro’s Clinton, Massachusetts headquarters as the company was determined to stay local to its roots in the Central Massachusetts Region.

“We’re truly honored to receive this year’s Industrial/Flex Use Award,” said Bill Manley, Managing Partner and CIO, of Calare Properties. “Having new, high quality manufacturing space in a modern, attractive park setting made 112 Barnum Road in Devens an appealing expansion choice for Nypro.”

Located in Devens, MA, 112 Barnum Road is a modern manufacturing facility. Calare and Hackman Capital acquired the vacant facility in 2012. Nypro signed a long term lease in late 2013 bringing the property to full occupancy. The remaining space of the building is being utilized by Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastic.

Each year, the Boston Business Journal’s “Best in Boston Real Estate Awards” recognize the movers and shakers in the real estate industry. Nominees include real estate professionals, brokers, and large developers throughout the Massachusetts region. Winning this award has become an honor amongst Boston’s elite real estate and development professionals. Calare was also awarded a 2013 Best on Boston Real Estate Award.
